Emanuel Balmus in Salt Lake City - Ultimate Combat Training Center

Emanuel Balmus

My name is Emanuel. I was born and raised in Romania in a family with former amateur judokas and boxers. I moved to The USA in 2016 fulfilling one of my dreams I had many years ago. I first got into martial arts when I was 16 years old, while I was protecting my little brother from being bullied by older guys in school. After a few, successful and unsuccessful fights, a friend of mine dragged me into a Kyokushinkay Karate Dojo, where I became extremely passionate and interested about the art of fighting. Discipline, mind and body forging, camaraderie and a great community are just a few important values that contributed to my growth. While I was training at Kamakura Dojo I had the chance to participate in seminars where some of the greatest Dutchmen trainers such as Kancho Gerard Gordeau, Semmy Schilt and other members of their team, gave me the confidence of fighting and coaching. Later, I became an important help for my coaches by starting teaching Kyokushin and Kickboxing classes to beginners, intermediates, and competitors of all ages.

In 2016, I started my career as a Professional Personal Trainer helping people change their lives and become a better version of their selves. I feel grateful for having the chance to coach a broad variety of people from youth to seniors, and from people with special conditions and limitations to high-performance athletes.

I am passionate about helping people unconditionally. I don’t like hanging out for too long inside the comfort zone. I consider myself a hard-working, success oriented and humble individual. I am always willing to take the risk, fail, learn and built myself up much stronger!

I will see you at the gym!

Stay committed!
