Ultimate Combat was founded in 1987, making it the oldest Mixed Martial Arts gym in Utah. It started with the goal of providing high-quality martial arts training to the community. Over the years, it has evolved into a premier training center, offering diverse martial arts programs.

The owner of Ultimate Combat Training Center is Mike Stidham, widely recognized as the Godfather of Mixed Martial Arts in Utah due to his wildly popular television show, Ultimate Combat Experience, that aired for ten years and was the first Mixed Martial Arts television show on Network television anywhere in the world.
